That hotel was in a fantastic location, in front of a fjord. What's more, it was adjacent to Reykjavik, quiet residential area and the center of Borgarnes.

Gorgeous and clean place, exceptional view of the sea. Central heating and a work desk available in the standard single room. The excellent and charming staff and their quick responses to my needs. Stunning location, lovely breakfast with a great selection of food. Simply nothing to complain about, memorable stay;)))

The warm welcome and helpfulness of the owner made our stay enjoyable. We appreciated the information about the local area and the delicious breakfast served. The views from the dining room were stunning, with mountains and water in sight. The location was also convenient, close to the Settlement Center, and easy to find with ample parking available.

There were no specific negatives about our stay. However, it's important to note that this guesthouse is not located along a tourist route, so if you prefer to stay in a more bustling and touristy area, this might not be the right place for you.

I stayed at Helgugata Guesthouse for one night in late March. The property is spotless and the breakfast was excellent. There is a great view from the top floor, and it's easy to go for a walk along the water. Mila, the host, was very helpful and courteous. It truly feels like staying in an Icelandic house, and the surroundings are super quiet. Highly recommend staying here!
